About Us:
At UK Research and Innovation, we empower technology start-ups and SMEs through various Business Incubation initiatives. Our programmes are designed to assist UK technology start-ups in developing innovative products or services and transitioning them into the commercial market. Over the span of 1-2 years, we provide grant funding, expert coaching, and access to technical resources and facilities, fostering a successful environment for over 140 start-ups and the creation of more than 1,000 skilled jobs.

The post holder will collaborate closely with the Programmes Manager team to facilitate the effective delivery of the Incubation Programmes, as well as with the Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Programme Managers in ensuring a robust flow of applications to the Business Incubation Programmes by identifying potential applicants (i.e., start-ups) and guiding them through the application process.

• Represent the Business Incubation Programmes at pertinent industry events such as trade shows and conferences.

Person Specification:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and engage colleagues as needed.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to connect with both technical and commercial audiences at all levels.
• A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and a desire to enhance performance.
• Willingness to travel and work at various locations within the UK.
• Proficiency in IT systems, web-based tools, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Desirable:
• Experience working within a start-up or scale-up support programme, an incubator, or a public sector grant scheme.
