About the Role

PWS Technical Services (UK) LTD is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team in London and the South. As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in the delivery of multiple projects and site works across various sectors, including contaminated land, remediation, and geotechnical monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise remediation and environmental site investigations, soil sampling, contaminated land, and geotechnical monitoring projects and sites.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and organise data to produce a variety of reports for internal management teams and clients.
  • Site Delivery: Ensure safe, profitable, and timely delivery and management of all assigned responsibilities on numerous sites and projects.
  • Proposal Writing and Reporting: Input to proposal writing, and interpretative reporting and report writing.
  • Geo-Environmental and Contaminated Land Reporting: Prepare factual geo-environmental and interpretative contaminated land reports, including Desk Studies, Phase I&II Site Investigations and DQRA's, as well as remediation strategies and verification reports.
  • Relationship Management: Ensure professional relationships (internal and external) are developed and maintained to maximise the opportunity to successfully procure and profitably assist in the delivery of projects.
  • Accountability and Issue Management: Work and dispense accountabilities proactively and effectively, helping to ensure that individual and team targets are achieved or exceeded, and manage any arising issues to the requirements of the company procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Relevant degree within engineering or environmental science.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience within the environmental, remediation, contaminated land or waste management sectors.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage and deliver projects on time and within budget with an understanding of financial management at a project level.
  • Site Work and Technical Skills: Demonstrable site work competency including an appreciation of Health & Safety requirements, and ability to combine site work with office-based technical works, and project management and support with staff mentoring.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to relate to people at all levels in an organisation and to establish and maintain respect both professionally and personally.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the relevant technical industry requirements / regulations.
  • Numerical Skills: Excellent numerical skills including data interpretation, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and where applicable numerical modelling packages.
