Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is the primary point of contact between operational staff and the control room, ensuring seamless communication and effective response to emergency situations.
Main Responsibilities- Operate the trust's communication system to relay critical information between operational staff and the control room.
- Pass time-sensitive information to other emergency services or hospital staff regarding patients.
- Assist the Dispatch Officer with vehicle deployment and the general running of the assigned area on a 12-hour shift basis.
We are the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, employing 3,500 staff across 63 locations, serving a population of 2,600,000 in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, and Tees over 3230 square miles.

Person Specification- Essential:
- 3 GCSEs grade C and above, including English and Mathematics (or higher) or equivalent or relevant experience.
- Geographical knowledge of the area covered by the Trust.
- Previous administration experience.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- IT skills.
- Customer Service.
- Experience in working towards demanding targets.
- Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities.
