Job Description

Job Title: Residential Operations Team Member

Job Summary:

The Mill Hill School Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Residential Operations Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our facilities and providing a safe and secure environment for our pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security and Safety: Locking and unlocking of buildings, securing entrances and exits, and reporting potential security breaches.
  • Facilities Management: Operating intruder and fire alarm systems, undertaking minor repairs, and maintaining a clean and safe external environment.
  • Support Services: Providing porterage, assembly, and installation services, as well as assisting with the organization and movement of furniture and equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of incidents, accidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with other departments and staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements:

  • Reliability and Trustworthiness: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends, and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and pupils of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of security and maintenance procedures, as well as the ability to operate intruder and fire alarm systems.
