Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Peer Support Worker to join our team. As a Peer Support Worker, you will utilize your lived experience of receiving secondary care mental health services to provide formalized peer support and practical assistance to service users. Your role will focus on helping individuals regain control over their lives and their unique recovery process.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establishing Relationships

Build supportive, positive, and respectful relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Providing Peer Support

Offer peer support, maintaining professional boundaries, and promoting a culture of empathy and trust.

Supporting Recovery Goals

Help service users identify and work towards their recovery goals, including overcoming fears and anxieties.

Administrative Duties

Undertake administrative tasks, such as updating patient records, to ensure effective and timely care delivery.

Requirements
  • Essential Requirements

Hold a UK driving license and have access to a car, as this is an essential requirement for the role.

Desirable Requirements

Experience working in a mental health or community-based setting, with a strong understanding of recovery-focused care.
