Beckenham, Greater London, United Kingdom Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified and innovative Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, or Advanced CBT Therapist, to take on a pivotal role in leading the operational, clinical, and professional aspects of the Bromley Mental Health Hub. The successful candidate will spearhead the management and enhancement of the psychological therapies pathway within the hub, ensuring effective integration with talking therapies services and secondary care mental health teams. Additionally, the role includes providing clinical leadership within the newly established Bromley Mental Health Hub.

Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Head of Psychological Therapies in Primary Care, the postholder will deliver experienced leadership to the psychological therapies staff and the broader hub team.

The role entails ensuring the consistent delivery of a high-quality specialist psychological therapies service throughout the Bromley mental health pathway.

Responsibilities include supervising and supporting the psychological assessments and therapies conducted by other psychologists and clinical team members who provide psychologically-based care and treatment.

The postholder will also offer consultation to GPs and other referrers to the mental health hub, advising on psychological treatments and care pathways.

Furthermore, the role involves providing consultation and reflective practice, conducting incident debriefs, and facilitating teamwork, psychologically informed practices, trauma-informed care, and suitable treatment pathways to enhance the service user journey and experience across service transitions.

The position requires close organizational collaboration with the wider Oxleas mental health system and third-sector partners.

The postholder will utilize research skills for auditing, policy formulation, service development, and research initiatives. They will propose and implement policy modifications within the teams/service area and contribute to the overall management of the service.
