About the Role

The Clinical Psychologist will be part of a well-established clinical team at Baston House School, Kent, working closely with Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Assistant Psychologists, and Therapies Assistants to facilitate Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) working.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, with additional needs such as complex trauma, mental health needs, and behaviors of concern.

The role will involve working collaboratively with a range of key partners, including education and residential staff teams, to maximize clinical outcomes for pupils.

The Clinical Psychologist will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, as well as participate in supervision and training opportunities to ensure the delivery of interventions based on a strong research evidence base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality clinical services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with MDT teams to facilitate effective working and maximize clinical outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in supervision and training opportunities to ensure the delivery of interventions based on a strong research evidence base
  • Work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
