Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher to join our team at Esland Care. As a SEN Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to our students with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of our students
  • Assess and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition between home and school
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching KS4/KS5 students
  • Expert understanding of innovative pedagogy and assessment strategies
  • Knowledge of SEND and SEMH, including effective strategies for managing behavior and promoting inclusion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a sense of humor
Desirable Qualifications
  • Ability to teach across all key stages
  • Degree/qualification in psychology
  • Higher degree or equivalent
