Community Engagement Officer

Brackenberry Ltd is collaborating with a Local Authority to recruit a Community Engagement Officer for a 3-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension based on client needs. We invite you to submit your CV for consideration.
Compensation: £30.75 per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a vital member of a project team while also functioning independently, taking charge of the communication strategy for each assigned project. Be the primary contact for inquiries regarding resident engagement for significant works.
- Design, produce, distribute, and manage all communication materials such as leaflets, newsletters, and posters to ensure an effective communication strategy for each project.
- Respond to all incoming communications related to your assigned projects from residents, colleagues, and elected officials, striving to address concerns and mitigate negativity.
- Act as the Council's representative for all initial complaints regarding major works projects, investigating issues related to your assignments and providing thoughtful, objective responses in accordance with the Council's complaint handling procedures.
- Foster strong working relationships with colleagues across the organization, particularly with consultation staff in the Homeownership Unit, departmental and central complaints officers, area housing officers, and Housing Partnerships teams.
Required Qualifications:
- A university degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Self-driven, enthusiastic, creative, and proactive in your work approach.
Important Notes:
- Immediate availability or short notice is required.
- Eligibility to work in the U.K. is essential.
- This position necessitates a basic DBS check.
