Senior Category Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Strategic Category Management to join our team at Belmontrecruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a category of spend, developing and implementing strategic procurement plans, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Category Leadership: Develop and implement a category strategy that aligns with the company's overall procurement objectives.
- Procurement Project Management: Manage procurement projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, and external stakeholders, including suppliers and partners.
- Commercial Expertise: Provide expert advice on procurement and category management, including market analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
- Category Management: Develop and implement category management plans, including spend analysis, supplier development, and contract management.
- Extensive Procurement Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on category management and strategic procurement.
- Category Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing a category of spend, including developing and implementing category strategies and managing procurement projects.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze market trends, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
