Senior Category Manager - Health Category

Cedar Recruitment is supporting a Public Sector organization in their search for a Senior Category Manager to lead their Health category.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering a competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum, plus a £5,400 car allowance and additional benefits.

The role will be home-based, with occasional on-site work at the client's offices.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Category for Health and be responsible for managing and renewing c15 Frameworks within the Health category, covering a spend of c£600m annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and renewal of c15 Frameworks within the Health category
  • Work with well-known suppliers and national bodies to obtain best possible conditions and deliver procurement solutions
  • Deploy resources effectively and provide market and technical expertise in support of one or more Strategic Sourcing business process/services

Requirements:

  • MCIPS qualification or equivalent
  • Strong background working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector
  • Experience working within a similar role in the Public Sector within Health
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience using Frameworks and defining requirements with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of the new Procurement Act
