#### Role Overview:

We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Lead Cost Consultant.

The ideal candidate will oversee all facets of the contractual and financial management of our substation developments for wind energy, ensuring optimal value and robust financial health throughout the project lifecycle.

#### Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight:

Develop, manage, and report on project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and financial forecasting are upheld throughout the project duration.-

Contract Management: Supervise all contractual elements, including drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Valuation and Payment Processing: Conduct regular assessments of completed work, prepare payment requests, and ensure prompt payments to subcontractors and suppliers.

Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and contractual risks associated with projects.

Tender Management: Oversee the creation of tender documents, assess bids, and negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors.

Performance Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports on project financial performance, including cost deviations and progress relative to budgets.

Team Development: Mentor and support junior cost consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

#### Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience in cost consultancy, with a solid background in civil engineering and groundwork, ideally within the renewable energy sector.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities. Proficiency in cost management software and tools.

Certifications: Membership with a relevant professional organization (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.

Location: Willingness to be based in or relocate to the Northern Region.
