About the Role:
Cruinn Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in Inverness, Scotland. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in leading the preparation of detailed cost estimates for large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
- Collaborate with the Bid Team to develop comprehensive bid strategies that align with client requirements.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing, ensuring all estimates are current and competitive.
- Present and justify estimates to senior management and clients, addressing any queries with confidence.
- Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, cost factors, and best practices to ensure our bids remain competitive.
Requirements:
- Significant estimation experience within the civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex bid estimation processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present estimates clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying.
- Chartered status.
