About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Innova Solutions. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering function, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and project leadership to develop new manufacturing technology and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, technology development, and facility planning. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations equipment and processes, as well as engaging in creative problem-solving to address operational issues.

You will work closely with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective systems and processes to produce quality products. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing systems, including factory control software, scheduling techniques, simulation, and systems application.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement manufacturing technology and systems to improve efficiency and quality.
  2. Provide technical expertise and project leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects.
  4. Design and develop manufacturing systems, including factory control software and scheduling techniques.
  5. Implement ergonomic and safety improvements to reduce risk and improve productivity.
  6. Develop and manage department capital and expense budgets.
  7. Maintain the department capital forecast.
  8. Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy and safe working practices.
  9. Coach and mentor early learners within the department.

Requirements:

  1. Technical or university degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field.
  2. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, technology development, and facility planning.
  3. Demonstrated project management skills or contribution to delivery of complex projects.
  4. Experience in development of manufacturing standards and procedures.
  5. Problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  6. Communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT, and implementing Assembly Automation.
  2. Manufacturing systems experience including use of Siemens Teamcenter and/or SAP solutions.
  3. Experience with budget management and/or capital project delivery.
  4. Previous experience in development of PFMEAs and control plans.
  5. 3D modelling knowledge using Creo or similar.
  6. Cross-functional experience.
  7. 6 Sigma Green belt certification or project management qualification.
