National Account Manager - FMCG / Retail

Established over 30 years ago, our client is a leading distributor of fashion accessories to the retail space. They operate in over 20 countries worldwide and supply goods to over 30,000 retail locations. Notable clients include Matalan, New Look, and Tesco.

We are seeking a National Account Manager to oversee a set of existing accounts, building long-term relationships and driving sales growth across their product range. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in national and key account management looking to grow with a company committed to individual progression and development.

This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact with clear communication
  • Collaborate with accounts to develop tailored growth strategies, identifying and targeting individual and mutual objectives
  • Monitor and optimize sales performance for all accounts
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams as necessary and support cross-functional projects
  • Upsell and cross-sell product range, as well as conduct new business activities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of national or key account management experience
  • Experience within the FMCG space is essential
  • Experience managing national or key accounts is highly desirable
  • P&L management experience of national or key accounts
  • Experience in upselling and cross-selling, as well as new business development
  • Based in the UK, with regular commutes to London
