Planning Officer in Development Management

About the Role
As a key member of the Cardiff Council team, you will play a vital role in shaping the city's growth and development. The Planning team is responsible for delivering and managing the city's expansion, ensuring that it remains a thriving and attractive place to live and work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of applications, with a focus on high-profile residential, commercial, and city centre projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality development and make Cardiff an excellent city.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that development aligns with the city's strategic goals.
- Provide expert advice on planning matters and contribute to the development of planning policies.
Requirements
- Qualification and experience in town planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Fluency in English and Welsh (with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages).
