Salaried GP Opportunity at Mayfield Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salaried GP to join our team at Mayfield Surgery. As a Salaried GP, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Care Delivery: Provide highly effective medical care to our entitled population, adhering to local and national guidelines.
- Service Provision: Offer services commensurate with the GMS contract, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Medicines Management: Manage medications effectively, adhering to local and national guidance.
- Long-term Condition Management: Effectively manage long-term conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Administrative Tasks: Process administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated tasks.
- Triage and Duty Doctor Roles: On a rotational basis, undertake AccuRx triage and duty doctor roles, ensuring efficient patient care.
- Clinical Records: Maintain accurate clinical records, adhering to good practice, policy, and guidance.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
- Essential: Experience of working in a primary care environment, continued professional development, QOF and clinical audit experience, general understanding of the GMS contract, and outstanding clinical knowledge and skills.
- Desirable: Minimum of two years as a salaried GP, experience of medicines management, and experience of ICB initiatives.
- Essential: Excellent communication skills, strong IT skills, clear and polite telephone manner, competent in the use of Office and Outlook, EMIS user skills, effective time management, ability to work as a team member and autonomously, excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to follow clinical policy and procedure, experience with audit and leading audit programmes, and experience with clinical risk management.
- Qualifications: Qualified GP, MRCGP, Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP, General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT), Full GMC registration, National Performers List registration, and appropriate defence indemnity.
- Essential: Flexibility to work outside of core office hours, Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, and Occupational Health clearance.
- Essential: Polite and confident, flexible and cooperative, motivated, forward thinker, problem solver, high levels of integrity and loyalty, sensitive and empathetic, ability to work under pressure, effectively able to communicate and understand patient needs, commitment to ongoing professional development, and effectively utilize resources.
