Role: Domestic Abuse Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our multidisciplinary team focused on addressing domestic abuse cases. As a Domestic Abuse Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in assessing risk, delivering interventions, and supporting families affected by this complex issue.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners to conduct thorough assessments of domestic abuse cases and develop effective risk management strategies.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions designed to promote positive behavior change in perpetrators of domestic abuse.
  • Maintain meticulous case records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Contribute to team efforts by sharing information and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Participate actively in regular supervision sessions to enhance professional development and receive guidance from experienced mentors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working directly with individuals who have perpetrated domestic abuse, demonstrating a strong understanding of the dynamics involved.
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills, enabling effective interaction with victims, perpetrators, and other stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk assessment tools, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
  • Ability to travel within designated operational areas to meet with clients and partners.
