Job Title: Domestic Abuse Prevention Specialist

Essex County Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Domestic Abuse Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in preventing domestic abuse and supporting victims and their families.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise and knowledge in domestic abuse prevention and intervention. You will work closely with our Assessment and Intervention Team, Family Support and Protection Team, and other partners to provide a comprehensive service to victims and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver effective interventions for perpetrators of domestic abuse
  • Work with victims and their families to identify and address the root causes of domestic abuse
  • Provide support and guidance to victims and their families to help them stay safe and rebuild their lives
  • Collaborate with other agencies and partners to ensure a coordinated response to domestic abuse
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to domestic abuse prevention and intervention
Requirements
  • Significant experience of working with perpetrators of domestic abuse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse risk assessment tools and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex and demanding workload
