We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Prevention Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and communities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our Assessment & Intervention and Family Support & Protection Teams to provide support and interventions to individuals affected by domestic abuse. This will involve working with perpetrators to reduce their risk of causing harm and supporting victims to stay safe.

The role requires a strong understanding of domestic abuse, its dynamics, and the impact on victims and their families. The successful candidate will have experience of working with perpetrators and a proven track record of delivering effective interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver effective interventions for perpetrators of domestic abuse
  • Work closely with our Assessment & Intervention and Family Support & Protection Teams to provide support and interventions to individuals affected by domestic abuse
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to domestic abuse
  • Participate in regular case management reviews and contribute to the work of the team
  • Engage in supervision and contribute to the development of the team
Requirements
  • Significant experience of working with perpetrators of domestic abuse
  • Excellent conflict and crisis management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex and demanding workload
  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse, its dynamics, and the impact on victims and their families
