Job Summary

Avery Dennison Smartrac is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of goods within our European Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch to customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • Preparing necessary dispatch paperwork, including understanding import and export procedures to ensure correct documentation.
  • Working with our Oracle order management system to release stock and generate necessary paperwork.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Inventory/stock control, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of goods.
  • Liaising with Customer Service and Sales teams to respond to queries and keep teams informed of progress.
  • Customizing shipments according to customer-specific requirements, including constructing custom-made retail packs.
  • Actively contributing to and participating in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process enhancement.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety rules, monitoring the safety of your work area and contributing to a clean and tidy working environment.

Requirements

  • Relevant warehousing experience, preferably with a forklift truck license.
  • Computer literacy, with confidence using computer applications and a willingness to learn in-house systems.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, able to liaise with other team members to achieve tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a constantly changing environment and take on additional or alternative tasks as required.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience in import and export shipping is preferred but not essential.
