Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance for designated programs, serving as the primary technical liaison with the Programme Management Office and clients.
  • Ensure that the necessary engineering capabilities are established and maintained to deliver technical solutions within the specified schedule and budget.
  • Develop and maintain documentation outlining the engineering processes, tools, and practices utilized to achieve program objectives.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Service Managers, Team Leads, and Resourcing Leaders to ensure the availability of required engineering resources.
  • Report on metrics that reflect the progress and completeness of engineering activities.
  • Support Engineering Team Leads in managing daily employee tasks, performance evaluations, work assignments, and recognition or disciplinary actions.
  • Lead or coordinate subcontract management efforts.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a technical delivery environment with a track record of effective team leadership and project performance management.
  • Strong understanding of engineering tools, processes, requirements definition, interface documentation, and testing procedures necessary for solution development and acceptance.
  • Experience in Control Account Management and developing Basis of Estimates using metrics, including risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage personnel on a day-to-day basis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to engage with diverse audiences on intricate subjects.

Desirable Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in a security-related industry.
  • A degree in Engineering or other STEM disciplines.
  • Capability to analyze technical challenges and propose practical solutions.
  • Proven success in delivering cost-effective and technically compliant solutions.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering methodologies (UML, SysML, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect).
