MHR Consultancy Ltd is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper to support our clients with their payroll and bookkeeping needs.

The successful candidate will have experience in payroll administration, including SMP/SSP rules and basic understanding of Auto-Enrolment/Workplace Pensions. They will be confident in using IRIS Payroll systems and have proficient Microsoft office skills.

The role will involve processing client paperwork, supplier invoices, customer invoices, bank reconciliations, and credit control. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining The Pension Regulator database and dealing with procedural queries from clients and their employees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to prioritize tasks, and effectively manage their time. They will also have experience in book-keeping on Sage or Xero or QuickBooks.

The role is initially 15 hours per week with the possibility of rising to 20 hours per week within a few months. The rate of pay is £22k per annum FTE rising to £24k per annum FTE after three months' probation.

The successful candidate will be office based in Farnborough but will have the option to work from home after a short period. A driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Holiday pay is 25 days per annum plus bank holidays but pro-rated for the number of hours/days worked. A DBS check will be performed upon appointment.
