Milestone Infrastructure is actively seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to oversee our projects in Oxfordshire. In this role, you will be integral to our Projects division, which is dedicated to executing significant projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site team, including Milestone staff and subcontractors, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Track site activities against established timelines, reporting any discrepancies in performance or delays.
  • Execute all tasks with commitment and vigor to optimize on-site planning and supervision.
  • Maintain comprehensive records through site photography, daily logs, and as-built documentation.
  • Conduct daily briefings on-site and oversee subcontractor task briefings.
  • Supervise all work activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and uphold safety standards in line with Injury Free Environment (IFE) principles.
  • Participate in client meetings to provide updates on project delivery and address any issues that arise.
  • Develop and maintain the contract program.
  • Communicate formally with clients and subcontractors, including Early Warnings and instructions.
  • Assist in the tendering process, including the evaluation and selection of subcontract packages.
  • Take responsibility for safety and environmental compliance within your area, ensuring timely closure of all identified actions.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Solid experience in civil engineering and workforce management, including earthworks, drainage, structures, and highways.
  • Strong commercial awareness to facilitate effective cost management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills to maximize team performance.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with a knack for influencing outcomes.
  • Capability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility in approach, with a readiness to embrace and drive change.
  • Experience with NEC3 contracts and their notification processes.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity and influence client decisions.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on critical tasks.
