Procurement Lawyer Opportunity

Chadwick Nott Legal Recruitment is seeking a skilled Procurement Lawyer to join a large commercial organisation supporting the public sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement law and a strong understanding of commercial compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of a commercial compliance framework that adheres to applicable legal rules and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing standards for processes and controls.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Public Contract Regulations, identifying potential risks and ensuring the category team operates at the highest standards.
  • Support the implementation of new standard procurement documents.
  • Collaborate with the category team to develop effective and legally compliant category and sourcing strategies.
  • Represent the legal function at meetings of the Category Decision Forum and Category Management Forum to ensure informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a private practice or in-house environment practicing in a relevant area.
  • Extensive experience of procurement law.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and the ability to engage with stakeholders across the supply chain.
  • A willingness to manage a case load and respond to the demands of a fast-moving organisation.

This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 2 days a week working from one of the organisation's offices and 3 days working from home. The salary is competitive, with a benefits package including a performance bonus, 27 days holiday, and a generous pension scheme.
