About the Role

We are seeking a Tender Manager to join our successful Commercial department within JFR, a Product Line of JF Group's Energy division. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to achieve the objectives of the Product Line by preparing high-quality tenders. This includes developing cost estimates, execution methodologies, terms and conditions, and conducting risk analyses for rentals, services, and projects. Your responsibilities will also involve engaging with customers, providing clarifications, updating tenders, and supporting contract negotiations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of bids from the receipt of inquiries to submission and contract award.
  • Ensure compliance of bids with customer requirements and adherence to the Tendering process.
  • Identify bid components requiring input from internal departments, define these contributions, request them from the appropriate teams, and manage their delivery and quality for integration into the final proposal.
  • Comprehend all aspects of the tender (operational, commercial, contractual, etc.) both individually and in relation to the overall proposal. Lead and/or contribute to writing technical proposals with support from subject matter experts or the broader business as necessary.
  • Navigate bids through the internal approval process.
  • Address client inquiries, leveraging support from the wider organization.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to develop technical solutions.
  • Work with Contracts Managers to formulate commercial solutions and ensure compliance.
  • Utilize the estimation cost model to provide robust bid estimates for internal approval.
  • Coordinate with Sales Managers to furnish additional information as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date tender information in the CRM system and assist in future CRM enhancements if required.
  • Compile successful bids into a handover package to facilitate project initiation.
  • Lead Pre-Qualifications, collaborating with other departments to produce solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Support the Senior Tender Manager, Product Line Tender Lead, and/or Head of Tendering to ensure adherence to the Bid Management Process by the Bid Team and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the overall Tendering process, tender materials, tools, and related aspects.

About the Candidate

  • Demonstrated experience in Tendering, Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles within similar industries (Oil and Gas, Renewables, or Marine).
  • Degree or HNC qualified in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in proposal/tender writing and pricing/estimation.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Energetic and passionate about your work.
  • Able to build strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
