The Royal College of Art is seeking a visionary leader to drive the academic direction of the School of Design. As the Dean, you will be responsible for shaping the future of design education and research, ensuring the RCA remains a premier destination for top-tier students globally.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, with a proven track record of leadership and innovation in design education. They will be able to think strategically, aligning the School's goals with the College's overall vision, and motivate staff to achieve excellence in teaching, research, and industry engagement.

The Dean will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the School's academic strategy, ensuring it aligns with the RCA's Strategic Plan.
  • Leading the School's academic leadership team, providing guidance and support to faculty members.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration within the School and across the RCA.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders to promote the School's reputation and secure funding opportunities.
  • Overseeing the development of new programs, courses, and research initiatives that reflect the School's strategic priorities.
