Job Title: Academic Reviewer

The University of Derby is seeking a highly skilled Academic Reviewer to join our team. As a key member of our programme team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating reviews between apprentices, employers, and academic staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on facilitating reviews between apprentices, employers, and academic staff
  • Liaise with relevant academic staff to ensure high-quality learning experiences
  • Work collaboratively with academic staff and apprenticeship account managers to maintain quality and compliance
  • Organize visits with external clients, apprentices, and internal staff to ensure quality reviews and assessment of evidence
  • Act as a personal professional academic tutor for learners and provide support for those who require additional assistance
Requirements:
  • Relevant Honours degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience in the engineering sector, particularly in relation to UK apprenticeship standards
  • Deep understanding of current degree and apprenticeship programs
  • Proven track record of collaborating with employers in their workplace
