Band 6 Specialist Weight Management Dietitian

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to cover a maternity leave in our specialist weight management and bariatric team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of dietitians and nutritionists to support patients with weight management pre and post-bariatric surgery in an outpatient clinic setting based at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire.
The Dietitian will also work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including psychologists, bariatric nurses, endocrinologists, and bariatric surgeons.
Main Duties of the Job
With appropriate training and ongoing support from senior colleagues when necessary:
- Provides specialist dietetic advice on the dietary/nutritional management of patients on a specialist caseload within UHCW for obesity, including those on medical and surgical treatment.
- Assesses and treats own workload of highly specialized patients/clients and maintains associated records, including out-patients.
- Liaises with dietetic colleagues and other members of hospital staff as necessary, medical, nursing, catering, and other health professionals.
