Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled dietitian to join our specialist weight management and bariatric team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of dietitians and nutritionists to support patients with weight management pre and post-bariatric surgery in an outpatient clinic setting.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist dietetic advice to patients, their carers, and staff within agreed protocols and guidelines.
- Carrying out nutritional assessments and developing treatment plans for patients with obesity and bariatric surgery needs.
- Prescribing dietary treatment and ACBS products for conditions with limited professional or clinical guidelines.
- Monitoring patient progress through agreed pathways for pre and post-surgery.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, rated as good by the Care Quality Commission. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, bariatric nurses, endocrinologists, and bariatric surgeons.

The successful candidate will have:
- Essential qualifications and experience in dietetics and obesity management.
- Desirable qualifications and experience in bariatric surgery and weight management.
