About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering Department at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Clinical Engineering Contracts Manager and the wider Clinical Engineering Team, working unsupervised and communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary team and various internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake general office duties, including answering queries, taking messages, and maintaining the Departmental database (e-Quip).
  • Arrange meetings for the Senior Management Team and take minutes of meetings.
  • Assist with the production of documents and reports.
  • Support other Administrative roles and cover holiday and absence periods.
  • Ensure all work adheres to the Department's Quality Management System (QMS).

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent level of numeracy and literacy, as demonstrated by GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous relevant experience within an administrative role.
  • Experience of working in a hospital environment.
  • Well-versed in a comprehensive range of office procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience of database systems, including data input/entry/retrieval.
