About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Iceland. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our own-brand products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Buying Team and Product Process Development Manager in driving the delivery of product quality for all Iceland own-brand products.
- Source and purchase samples from competitors, ensuring timely receipt and accurate labelling.
- Manage the rotation of products, update records, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Assist with the setup and cleaning of the development kitchen, including preparation and serving of meals for senior team members.
- Ensure the Iceland Kitchen and facilities are always maintained to a high standard.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in the food industry or a related field, preferably in product development or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation and HACCP principles.
- Strong practical cookery skills and a good understanding of culinary practices.
- Demonstrable interest in food trends and current industry developments.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge and a valid driving licence.
Working Hours
The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 18:00, and must be immediately available to start.
