Professional Training Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Training Manager to join our team at the National Audit Office. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our professional accountancy training schemes for graduates and apprentices.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a professional training scheme of a similar size and scope to our programme. You will be customer-focused, with a proven track record of providing high-quality services to multiple stakeholders. Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and key risks are essential.
You will work closely with internal colleagues, including the QPRT, Trainee Experience Programme manager, and the wider HR team. External relationships with our college provider and the ICAEW will also be a key part of your role.
As a Professional Training Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all operational elements of our graduate and school leaver training schemes
- Ensuring that our trainees receive high-quality support from the training team
- Designing and implementing developments to enhance the training scheme
- Managing communication and engagement with trainees
- Managing relationships and contracts with external bodies
- Providing direct support to trainees on reasonable adjustments and exam pathways
- Undertaking analysis of data to identify trends and put forward recommendations for action
