Job Title: Professional Training Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Training Manager to join our team at the National Audit Office. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational elements of our graduate and school leaver training schemes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that NAO trainees receive high-quality support from the training team, including college bookings, processing exam results, and responding to queries.
  • Design and implement developments to enhance the training scheme, ensuring trainees receive support and training to pass their exams and achieve their ICAEW qualification.
  • Manage communication and engagement with trainees, including running forums and drop-in sessions, and responding to staff survey feedback.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with external bodies, including our college provider and the ICAEW, to ensure a high-quality service.
  • Provide direct support to trainees on reasonable adjustments and exam pathways as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience of managing a professional training scheme of a similar size and scope to the NAO's programme.
  • Experience of managing and developing junior colleagues.
  • Customer-focused with experience of providing a high-quality service to multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data to identify trends and key risks.
  • Experience in managing online systems.
