About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flu Vaccination Nurse to join our team at NHS. As a key member of our immunisation service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and contributing to the smooth operation of our vaccination clinics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Vaccination Delivery: Administer flu vaccinations to children in schools and community clinic settings, adhering to the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to support the delivery of our School Aged Immunisation Service, ensuring seamless service continuity.
  • Clinical Supervision: Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to the performance and development of staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Incident Reporting: Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported, monitored, and processed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Professional Development: Maintain ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and a relevant nursing or midwifery qualification.
  • Experience: Evidence of ongoing professional development and a strong understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Skills: Ability to implement informed consent principles, work effectively in a team, and maintain accurate records.
