Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Professional to join our team as a School Immunisation Service Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality immunisation services to school-aged children, working collaboratively with our team to ensure the smooth continuity of service delivery.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver an effective, evidence-based, and competent level of care to patients, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Support Programme Managers, Team Leads, and Clinical Leads as applicable, attending sites across different locations as required.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff, ensuring all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported and processed in line with organisational policies.
  • Contribute to audits, making recommendations based on findings and sharing outcomes with the team for learning.
  • Undertake Gillick Competency Assessments and take verbal consent from parents and caregivers.
  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position, complying with Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Working within PGD frameworks.
  • Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Understanding and implementation of the principles of informed consent.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Cold chain, ordering, and arranging transport.

Qualifications

  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification.
