Join Our Team:

We are on the lookout for a skilled Legal Counsel with a robust commercial background to become a vital part of our Legal team in London. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization, adopting a cooperative approach to navigate intricate legal challenges.

Your Impact:

  • This position is located in London at our global headquarters and is part of the commercial segment of our Legal department.
  • You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of commercial agreements, including tailored customer contracts, strategic partnerships, and supplier agreements.
  • Address legal concerns and contract interpretation issues that arise during negotiations.
  • Develop and/or maintain various standard agreements (e.g., NDAs, supplier and customer contracts).
  • Provide legal advice on special projects, including new product developments, considering their legal and regulatory implications.
  • Advise on commercial legal matters and associated risks.
  • Conduct research on various multi-jurisdictional legal issues.
  • Support the company's strategic initiatives by offering innovative, proactive, and results-driven legal counsel.

Qualifications:

About You:

  • Qualified solicitor/lawyer (5-8 PQE) with substantial post-qualification experience, either in-house or in private practice.
  • Experience in FinTech, payments, software, e-commerce, and/or banking is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Background in a startup or fast-paced environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in international law and handling cross-border matters is beneficial.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle a diverse workload and competing stakeholder demands.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively, adjusting the approach as necessary.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal issues.
  • Enthusiastic about tackling new challenges and expanding knowledge in various legal areas.
