Job Title: Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Adult Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our expanding pharmacy team in Adult Mental Health. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide and develop patient-centred clinical pharmacy services to in-patient wards and clinics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provision and development of patient-centred clinical pharmacy services to in-patient wards and clinics
  • Act as a role model for Junior Pharmacists undertaking their Clinical Diploma, providing support and supervision at ward level
  • Non-medical prescribing or willingness to undertake the qualification in post is essential
  • Clinical supervision will be provided to develop further expertise in Adult Mental Health
Key Requirements:
  • GPhC registration
  • Clinical diploma or mental health diploma
  • Post-registration hospital experience

The role will involve covering in-patient wards at Goodmayes Hospital, and community teams in Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, and will involve an element of travel between community sites.

This is an innovative role working closely with the wider pharmacy team, including CMHT Pharmacists, the Lead Pharmacist for Adult Mental Health, Lead Pharmacist for Frailty and Older People, and the Lead Directorate Pharmacist, Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge.

The role will include raising the profile of older adults mental health in addressing unwarranted variations in clinical outcomes and responding to the needs of this population group.

There will be involvement in workforce development, including training and education of the junior pharmacy workforce and community teams.

We continue to encourage all staff to ensure that they have been double vaccinated and received their booster.
