We deliver high-quality Electrical Engineering, contracting, and consultancy services to prestigious clients across various regions in Ireland, the UK, and Mainland Europe. Our expertise lies in providing comprehensive turnkey solutions, including projects up to 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.

As the Principal Contractor for the pioneering installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser on the island of Ireland within Wind Farms, we take pride in being at the forefront of the transition towards a decarbonised electrical grid infrastructure.

Role Overview

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role within our team, responsible for ensuring the successful execution of various tasks, including cost management, project valuations, client interactions, and team advisement. You will spearhead the department in optimising the commercial performance of framework contracts and individual projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying department.

· Generate new business opportunities from both existing and prospective clients, including monitoring online tender notices across networks.

· Provide essential leadership and development to your direct reports.

· Oversee the contract variation process, offering recommendations and advice.

· Collaborate with finance, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

· Review and finalise tender submissions.

· Monitor and assess tender analyses.

· Approve and sign off on subcontractor and material invoices/orders.

· Report on the project portfolio on a profit and loss basis to the finance team to prepare financial forecasts for ongoing large-scale projects.

· Safeguard the company's interests by preparing and presenting risk analysis reports to the Directors.

· Fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with regulations and laws.

· Implement and enhance processes to streamline and ensure timely progress claims.

· Stay informed of the latest trends and developments through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

· Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent qualification.

· Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings.

· Possession of a full UK/Irish Driving Licence.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.

· Sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.

· Excellent client engagement and negotiation skills.

· Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Professional Development.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

· At least 4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.

· Previous experience in the Electrical Engineering, Utilities, or Renewables sectors.

· Experience in optimising contract values and negotiating legal and commercial terms.
