As the Principal Contractor for the pioneering installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser in Wind Farms on the island of Ireland, we take pride in being at the forefront of efforts to decarbonise the electrical grid.

About the Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role within our team, responsible for ensuring the successful execution of various tasks such as cost management, project valuations, client engagement, and team advisement. You will spearhead the department in enhancing the commercial viability of framework contracts and individual projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage the Quantity Surveying department.
· Generate new business opportunities from existing and prospective clients, including monitoring online tender notifications.
· Provide leadership and mentorship to your direct reports.
· Supervise the contract variation process, offering recommendations and guidance.
· Collaborate with finance, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
· Review and finalize tender submissions.
· Analyze and monitor tender evaluations.
· Approve and sign off on subcontractor and material invoices/orders.
· Report on the project portfolio's financial performance to the finance team to assist in preparing forecasts for ongoing large-scale projects.
· Safeguard the company's interests by preparing and presenting risk analysis reports to the Directors.
· Fulfill the responsibilities of this role in accordance with regulations and legal requirements.
· Enhance and implement processes to streamline progress claims.
· Stay informed about the latest industry trends and developments through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Qualifications:
· Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent qualification.
· Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings.
· Possession of a full UK/Irish Driving License.
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
· Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
· Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
· Outstanding client relationship management and negotiation skills.
· Commitment to Continuous Professional Development.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
· At least 4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.
· Previous experience in the Electrical Engineering, Utilities, or Renewables sectors.
· Experience in optimizing contract values and negotiating legal and commercial terms.
