Position: Senior Civil Estimator

Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for overseeing the financial and contractual elements of civil engineering projects, ensuring that all commercial aspects are effectively managed from the initial tender stage through to the final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting civil engineering cost estimations.
  • Performing precise measurements for civil engineering projects.
  • Managing contracts for smaller scale works.
  • Generating Cost Value Reports (CVRs) and cash flow forecasts.
  • Handling change management and claims processes.
  • Overseeing the procurement of materials and subcontractors.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the civil engineering sector. Proficiency in computer applications is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. A comprehensive understanding of construction costs, budgeting, and financial analysis is required. Familiarity with Standard Forms of Contract, including FIDIC and NEC, as well as Standard Methods of Measurement, is crucial. Experience in contract administration, tendering, procurement, and cost management is also necessary.
