Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Parico. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement greenfield services, working closely with our technical team, including Infrastructure Architects and our Chief Technology Officer.
  • Develop and maintain the overall security integrity of both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Understand how solutions fit into the broader IT ecosystem, including integration of authentication, and directory services with other platforms.
  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Interact, contribute, and engage with technical discussions with senior stakeholders and act as the technical lead for engagements.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable expertise in supporting and implementing infrastructure components for Windows and Virtualisation technologies, including Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, Group Policy, CIS and NCSC Security Hardening, NTP, SQL Server, and Windows Server Update Server (WSUS).
  • Virtualisation technologies, including VMware vSphere, VMware vCentre, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • A proven track record for delivering several large-scale IT projects, with direct responsibility for supporting and implementing highly available and resilient secure solutions.
  • Constructing Windows infrastructure components within environments that operate at scale.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Virtualisation technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable taking on new challenges.
  • Demonstrable experiencing of working with Enterprise Systems, Platforms, and Networks within both a datacentre environment and a cloud environment.
  • Working as part of an Agile development team.
  • Experience working with DevOps tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Demonstrable sector knowledge or experience within UK Defence (Army, Air force, or Royal Navy).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must either hold UK security clearance or be eligible to obtain clearance.
  • Hold a UK Driving Licence and have a willingness to travel to client sites.
