- Sales and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with the store team to identify opportunities to increase sales and foot traffic throughout the Post Office and store.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the branch is fully compliant with current legislation and Post Office Ltd. compliance and training requirements.
- Team Performance and Development: Guide and inspire the team to achieve personal and branch targets, including sales, shrink, waste, cash loss, and staff costs, in an environment that encourages growth and inclusivity.
- Cost Savings and Sales Opportunities: Work closely with the Cluster Manager to identify cost savings and sales opportunities through analysis of the Profit & Loss statement.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Support the Cluster Manager with employee lifecycle management, including recruitment, appraisals, training, and disciplinary procedures.
- Retail Experience: Proven experience in a retail management or leadership role, preferably with experience of dealing with financial products or high-value cash transactions.
- Business Acumen: Experience in supporting the delivery of store goals, including maximizing sales, controlling shrink, and knowledge of P&L accounts.
- Target Achievement: Previous experience of working to and achieving stretching targets within tight budgets.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Ability to coach and mentor the team to improve performance.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Experience of proactively leading from the front, getting stuck in, and helping the team on the shop floor.
