About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team as a Retail HR Business Partner. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance on HR-related matters across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and coach Retail management teams on employee relations cases, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, and sickness absence.
  • Support Retail management teams with completing and submitting occupational health referrals.
  • Attend and chair weekly Retail HR Surgeries, providing guidance and support to Retail management teams.
  • Travel to stores and premises throughout the UK and ROI to support with employee relations cases as needed.
  • Attend Retail Leadership Meetings and District Meetings.
  • Lead on complex employee relations cases, escalating to the Retail HR Manager as necessary.
  • Assist and coach the Omnichannel HR Support Coordinator with low-level employee relations cases.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Hotel Chocolat's HR policies and procedures.
  • Review feedback from Retail Exit Surveys to identify patterns and trends.
  • Work with the HR Systems & Data Analyst to produce reports detailing key HR metrics for Retail.
  • Assist the Retail HR Manager and L&D Manager in creating and delivering HR-related training to the Retail teams.
  • Support the Omnichannel Recruitment Advisor with Retail recruitment initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK and ROI employment legislation and trends.
Requirements
  • Experience advising on and managing a high volume of employee relations cases.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK employment law, regulations, and best practice.
