Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Associate Director to join our Middle Office / Operations Group in Europe. As a key member of our team, you will provide operational support to our Investment Professionals, ensuring the smooth execution of investment initiatives and the maintenance of high-quality investment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Support and Coordination
    • Assist in preparing the investment initiation process, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing investments throughout their life cycle.
    • Support deal reviews, investment approvals, deal closings, deal maintenance, and deal exit for European strategies, with a focus on Specialty Finance and investments in Spain.
  • Trade Support and Execution
    • Manage and coordinate internal and external parties to progress deals from the LOI/Term Sheet stage through entity formation, structuring, and ultimate deal closing.
    • Execute and coordinate trade support processes related to securities, derivatives, loans, in collaboration with the Treasury team and Minneapolis-based Middle Office team.
  • Investment Reporting and Information Management
    • Manage investment reporting processes and investment information in applicable systems.
  • Process Implementation and Governance
    • Ensure implementation of processes and procedures to support substance requirements in relevant jurisdictions, including statutory books and recordkeeping, offshore directors, and supporting governance requirements.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in Private Equity, Banking, Fund Management, Accountancy, or Operational controls.
  • Professional qualifications are advantageous.
  • Additional European languages, particularly Spanish, are highly desirable.
  • Strong operational process knowledge and control mindset.
  • Expertise in the operational support of loans, securitizations, or other debt/credit-linked instruments, and/or Real Estate.
  • The ability to understand complex financial products across a broad spectrum of investment types and underlying industries.
  • Good understanding of accounting.
