British International Investment is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Associate to join our Risk Office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying, mitigating, and managing risk across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Operational Risk Director in delivering risk management responsibilities, with a focus on reporting and managing operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain risk management tools, including risk registers, risk event reporting, and key risk indicators.
  • Collaborate with risk owners to ensure risks are identified and assessed appropriately, and follow up on proposed action plans.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and analyze trends in risk events, recommending actions to reduce the likelihood of future errors.
Requirements
  • Proven operational risk or risk reporting experience, ideally in the financial services sector.
  • Ability to apply operational risk assessment techniques, including risk control self-assessment (RCSA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare and present concise reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
