Cyber Security Consultant Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Consultant to join our team at Reed. As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will play a key role in building and influencing our customers' cyber security strategies and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Understand customers' challenges and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with customers to gain a deep understanding of their requirements and provide technical expertise to ensure our solutions meet their expectations.
  • Cyber Security Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the security industry and act as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity.
  • Strategic Whiteboarding: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies through strategic whiteboarding sessions.
  • Incident Response: Ensure a focus on protecting our customers' technology infrastructure and data from cyber-attacks.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years in Pre-Sales or a similar role within an MSP/Reseller organization.
  • Incident Response: Previous experience working with incident response teams or being part of an incident response team would be beneficial.
  • Cyber Security Knowledge: Good understanding of incident response stages and handling, as well as knowledge and/or experience using endpoint detection and threat management products.
  • Security Standards: Good knowledge and awareness of global Information Security Standards, including ISO27002, CIS, NCSE CAF, and NIST CSF.
  • Advanced Cyber Security Services: Experience working with security frameworks and/or market-leading solutions, including SSE, SASE, SIEM, MDR/EDR.
  • Compliance Guidelines: Experience in recommending and designing solutions to meet compliance guidelines.
