As a Pre-Sales Cyber Security Consultant, you will collaborate closely with Account Managers and the Post Sales team to build, influence, and challenge customers' cyber security strategies and services. You will lead client pitches and contribute to delivering end-to-end solutions.


In this role, you will be a key member of the Technical Pre-Sales function within the Business Solutions and Services team, contributing significantly to the growth of the company's Security pillar. You will focus on understanding customer challenges and supporting the enhancement of their security posture to defend against an evolving threat landscape. Your responsibilities will include engaging in pre-sales activities, understanding client requirements, participating in technical pre-sales discussions, and ensuring solutions and services meet client expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity, staying current with industry trends and innovations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and objectives, and lead the design and review of solutions.
  • Conduct strategic whiteboarding sessions to develop and implement security strategies, focusing on protecting technology infrastructure and data from cyber-attacks.
  • • Provide support and expertise during cyber incidents and contribute to the development of incident management and response plans.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to improve customers' security estates, offering general advice and guidance.
  • Deliver technical training and enablement sessions to sales teams, partners, and customers, empowering them with knowledge and skills.
  • Work with Account Managers to address technical challenges, recommend solutions, and overcome obstacles, focusing on key enterprise accounts.
  • Maintain multiple vendor certifications within the security portfolio, with a specialization in cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with other Pre-Sales teams (e.g., Cloud, Networking) to integrate cybersecurity into broader solutions.
  • Provide feedback to improve the company's delivery of cybersecurity services and support the wider security strategy.


Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 2+ years in a Pre-Sales role or similar within an MSP/Reseller organization. Experience with incident response teams is beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of incident response stages, experience with endpoint detection and threat management products, and knowledge of global Information Security Standards (e.g., ISO27002, CIS, NCSE CAF, NIST CSF).
  • Expertise: Advanced cybersecurity services (e.g., SSE, SASE, SIEM, MDR/EDR) and familiarity with security frameworks and market-leading solutions. Experience recommending and designing solutions for compliance guidelines is preferred.
  • Certifications: Engineer certifications in leading market solutions are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of SOC processes and procedures.
