About the Role

Sonovision UK - Ortec Group is a leading provider of innovative solutions to globally recognized companies and start-ups alike. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance and Security Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Quality Management System
    • Maintaining the company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications
    • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring they are met
    • Collaborating with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
    • Ensuring production processes meet international and national standards (ISO 9001 and AS9100)
    • Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency
    • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
    • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
    • Providing suggestions for changes and improvements and implementing them
    • Utilizing relevant quality tools and ensuring managers and other staff understand how to improve the business
    • Performing internal audits on the Quality Management System to measure its effectiveness
    • Providing training to new and current staff on the Quality Management System
  • Security
    • Exercising ultimate authority for control of all security and associated accreditations, compliances, and activity across the business
    • Full responsibility for documenting and maintaining the Security Policy and Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets
    • Developing and maintaining policy in-line with HMG and Industry standards
    • Managing contract obligations and associated actions, including logging and distributing Security Aspects Letters, policy management, and arranging and conducting audits
    • Actively managing the security vetting processes
    • Attending various Security conferences
    • Reporting to Directors on any new notification/developments in the defence industry
    Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to:

  • Be a dynamic individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Have experience of developing policy in-line with ISO 9001
  • Familiarity with PowerBi would be an advantage
  • Be self-motivated, able to work independently, and confident to work closely with the Directors
  • A pro-active approach to problem solving and investigation
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to work as part of an international team
  • The ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements
  • Familiarity with the industrial world or a desire to develop skills in this sector
  • Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Excel
Desirable Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of developing policy in-line with ISO standards
  • Familiarity with UK MOD security policy and implementation would be an advantage
  • Hold existing SC clearance or be willing to undergo vetting for clearance
