Key Responsibilities:
- Quality and Food Safety: Ensure that our client's food safety and quality systems are in place and adhered to, meeting all relevant safety, legality, and quality requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all relevant regulatory requirements are met, including Factory Personal Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with all relevant parties within the business and others concerning safety, legality, and quality issues.
- Problem Solving: Provide QA support to the manufacturing operation and assist in problem solving concerning safety, legality, and quality issues throughout the site.
- Record Keeping: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly QA/technical records and internal audits.
- Customer and Raw Material Complaints: Process customer and raw material complaints and work with the team to solve any related technical/QA problems.
- Hygiene and Cleaning: Liaise with the Production Manager/Business manager/external consultant regarding the effectiveness of hygiene procedures and advise on the preparation and improvement of hygiene schedules and cleaning instructions.
- Management and Reporting: Liaise with the Management Team regarding actions arising from information concerning safety, legality, and quality from internal and external audits, the laboratories, customer complaints, and other sources.
Person Specification:
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Verbal and written communication, negotiation, report writing, and presentations.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of Food Legislation/BRCGS Food standard, Quality and Food Safety Procedures, HACCP microbiological and analytical techniques, and interpretation of results and factory and Company Procedures, Policies, and Quality Standards.
- Understanding and Skills: Understanding of quality, safety, and legality management, manufacturing, and statistical techniques, and knowledge and experience of assessments of raw materials.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literacy and ability to use relevant software and systems.
